ATTORNEY BIO

Amale Knox is an Illinois licensed attorney with a Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan with a concentration in Political Science and Arabic language studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts. Amale Knox has over 7 years of legal experience specializing in health care, Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act (HIPAA), Social Security Disability claims, and civil litigation. She has behind-the-scenes experience working for the Social Security Agency as a Disability Determination Examiner and an Attorney-Advisor. Her experience taught her how to zealously advocate for claimants seeking their benefits. Amale implores compassion, integrity, respect, and professionalism while walking clients through the process. In addition, Amale Knox provides honest assessments and has a network of attorneys and law firms that she can refer you to if she is unable to accommodate your legal needs.

Amale Knox, former Of Counsel to Brain Injury Rights Group (BIRG), has expanded her practice pursuant to her experience and litigating the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Ms. Knox will counsel parents and refer parents to BIRG to assist Illinois with administrative “due process” complaints to ensure that the child’s individualized education program (IEP) or reimbursment request is protected.
